In systemic constellations work... which has Masai and Zulu roots but was brought west by Bert Hellinger an ex Catholic missionary in their homelands.. we pay attention to what comes before. We know that not taking our rightful place in a system, including the family system, causes problems transgenerationally. Valuing our indigenous knowledges is core to healing the deep historic wounds of colonisation and empire. Those wounds are currently surfacing around our planet as Earth's systems are stretched, overwhelmed.. This is the last flick of the tail of the dinosaur that is empire. Rising up re-rooted and together, like mycellium networks, is not only casting aside the masters' tools and modernity's house, it is regenerating our own.
My impression so far is that ancient indigenous cosmologies accept individual mortality and also species extinction as a part of the natural flow of the universe. I am curious about how that shifts our inquiry to “being here and now in a loving way” rather than “how are we going to fix this”?
Do we have the capacity to simply love because that is why we are here?
My feeling is that what we call Modern science is another monument of the futile effort to reject mortality and our limited understanding of the eternal mystery we find ourselves within…
